WELCOME TO KAS te hihi
KAS has proudly been part of the Te Hihi community since 2022, providing fun, engaging and reliable After School Care for local families.
Based in a spacious classroom at Te Hihi School, children enjoy a welcoming space where they can relax after the school day, get creative, spend time with friends and take part in a wide range of activities. We also have full use of the kitchen facilities for regular cooking and baking activities, along with access to the school's excellent playgrounds and large field for active outdoor play.
As well as supporting families at Te Hihi School, we also provide transport from Waiau Pa School, collecting children at the end of the school day and bringing them safely to our Te Hihi programme.
During Terms 1 and 4, children also have the opportunity to enjoy supervised swimming sessions in the school's swimming pool. A completed permission form is required for children wishing to participate.
Our experienced KAS team creates a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment where children can unwind after school, build friendships, develop confidence and enjoy every afternoon.

At KAS, we believe children thrive when they have a balance of routine, choice and fun. Every session follows a familiar daily routine that helps children feel settled, confident and know what to expect, while still providing plenty of opportunities to explore, create, play and connect.
What a typical KAS day looks like:
After School Care

2.50 - 3.30pm - sign in, homework club

3.30 - 3.45pm - afternoon tea

3.45 - 3.45pm - structured group activity time e.g. cooking, science, arts and crafts, sports and games

4.30 - 5.15pm - roll call then free choice, playground time or an organised game

5.15 - 6.00pm - clean up and wind down, quiet games

HOLIDAY PROGRAMME
While we do not currently operate a Holiday Programme from this site, KAS offers Holiday Programmes at nine locations across South Auckland and Franklin, meaning there is a KAS Holiday Programme close by for most families.
To ensure every Holiday Programme is full of energy, exciting activities and opportunities for children to make new friends, we currently operate our programmes from locations where enrolment numbers allow us to provide the best possible experience.
