WELCOME TO KAS The gardens
KAS has proudly been part of The Gardens community since early 2025. We were delighted to take over the programme and welcome the existing Programme Manager into the KAS family, providing continuity for the children and families who already knew and trusted the programme. Since then, we have loved getting to know the wider school community and look forward to continuing to build strong relationships while providing fun, engaging and reliable care that children enjoy and parents can depend on.
Operating from two spacious classrooms at The Gardens School, children have plenty of room to play, create, learn and connect. We also enjoy access to the school's excellent playgrounds and large field, providing endless opportunities for active outdoor play, exploration and fun.
Our Holiday Programme also operates from The Gardens site, with every day offering a great mix of creative activities, sports, games, themed days, special visitors and exciting adventures throughout the school holidays.

At KAS, we believe children thrive when they have a balance of routine, choice and fun. Every session follows a familiar daily routine that helps children feel settled, confident and know what to expect, while still providing plenty of opportunities to explore, create, play and connect.
What a typical KAS day looks like:
Before School Care

7.00am - programme open

7.00 - 7.15am - quiet activities

6.45 - 7.40am - breakfast

8.00am - organised game

8.15am - children released to school, juniors are walked to their classroom

8.30am - Programme Closes

3.45 - 4.45pm - structured group activity time e.g. cooking, science, arts and crafts, sports and games

4.45 - 5.15pm - roll call then free choice, playground time or an organised game

5.15 - 6.00pm - clean up and wind down, quiet games
Holiday Programme
8am to 3pm – main programme, plus we offer before and after care from 7am to 8am, and from 3pm to 6pm.

7.00 - 10.00am - (No trip) kids choice, supervised games and crafts are set up for children to participate

10.00 - 10.15am - morning tea (children bring their own)

10.15 - 12.30pm - activity time - organised themed activities in groups

12.30 - 1.00pm - lunch (children bring their own)

1.15 - 3.30pm - activity time - organised themed activities in groups

3.30pm - afternoon tea (supplied by KAS)

4.00pm - 5.30pm - kids choice and supervised activities
